The MDC is a duplex connector manufactured using industry-standard LC connector 1.25mm ferrule technology. The triple-port MDC adapter can be directly installed into the standard panel openings for duplex LC adapters, increasing fiber density by three times. It supports emerging transceiver Multi-Source Agreement (MSA) port breakout architectures. Its smaller size allows a single transceiver to accommodate multiple MDC jumper cables, which can be individually connected directly at the transceiver interface. The MDC supports four independent MDC cables for QSFP form factors and two independent MDC cables for SFP form factors.
